What you get
The Uttar Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Department pays for computer training at empanelled institutes so that OBC youth find work more easily: the one-year O Level course (up to Rs 15,000 per trainee, paid to the institute in three instalments) or the three-month CCC course (up to Rs 3,500). Selected trainees pay no registration or training fee. Trainees are chosen district by district on their class 12 percentage, with a waiting list, and allotted institutes by preference.
Who can apply
Unemployed youth of the Other Backward Classes, domiciled in Uttar Pradesh, who passed the Intermediate (class 12) exam, with parents' or guardians' income up to Rs 1 lakh a year. The benefit is given once - though a trainee may do O Level in a later year after CCC - and not alongside a scholarship or fee reimbursement. Trainees must keep up attendance; more than 15 days' absence without reason means replacement from the waiting list.
Living in Uttar Pradesh
