LabourAll of IndiaLast date: 31 Jul 2027

What you get

Part A of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, the Employment Linked Incentive scheme, rewards first-time employees joining the formal workforce. A first-timer receives one month's EPF wage, up to Rs 15,000, in two instalments paid by Direct Benefit Transfer into their Aadhaar-seeded bank account: the first after 6 months of service with the same employer, the second after 12 months once the free online Financial Literacy Course on the EPFO website is complete. The second instalment is held in a savings or deposit account for a period the Ministry of Labour and Employment will set. It is paid only once.

Who can apply

Employees who join an EPF-covered establishment between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2027, were never a contributing EPF member (with EPFO or an exempted trust) before 1 August 2025, and earn gross wages of up to Rs 1 lakh a month. Your UAN must be authenticated with Aadhaar face authentication, and you must stay with the same employer for 6 months for the first instalment and 12 months for the second.

How to apply

There is no separate application: the incentive follows the monthly returns (ECR) your employer files with EPFO. Get a UAN through your employer or the UMANG app, authenticate it with face authentication on UMANG, keep your bank account seeded with Aadhaar, and complete the Financial Literacy Course before 12 months of service. The scheme counts jobs joined up to 31 July 2027.
