PM SVANidhi (PM Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi)

Collateral-free working-capital loans for street vendors

LabourAll of India

Updated on 16 Oct 2026

What you get

A micro-credit scheme of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. A street vendor gets a working-capital loan with no collateral, a 7% interest subsidy for repaying on time and cashback on digital payments, and repaying one loan on time opens a larger one. The PM SVANidhi portal lists loans of Rs 15,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000, and a credit card for vendors who have repaid the second loan.

Who can apply

Street vendors in towns and cities who hold a Certificate of Vending or identity card from the urban local body, were identified in its survey, or have a Letter of Recommendation from the urban local body or Town Vending Committee - including vendors from nearby peri-urban and rural areas who vend within city limits, and vendors in Census Towns. The scheme runs in the states and union territories that have notified rules under the Street Vendors Act, 2014.
