What you get

The Gujarat Education Department's support for girls to finish school: Rs 10,000 a year in classes 9 and 10 and Rs 15,000 a year in classes 11 and 12, Rs 50,000 in all. Half is paid monthly against attendance (Rs 500 or Rs 750 a month for 10 months) and half after she passes the class 10 or class 12 board exam, by Direct Benefit Transfer.

Who can apply

Girls in classes 9 to 12 in a government, aided or private school in Gujarat, with a family income of up to Rs 6 lakh a year, who attend regularly.
