What you get
CBSE's merit scholarship recognises parents who educate an only daughter. Every single girl child who scores 70% or more in the CBSE class 10 exam and continues to class 11 at a CBSE school can get Rs 1,000 a month for up to two years, paid by ECS or NEFT; there is no fixed number of scholarships. It is renewed for class 12 if she scores 70% or more in class 11 and is promoted. Good conduct and regular attendance are required, and a cancelled scholarship is never renewed. She can keep other concessions from her school or other organisations.
